R-Values of Insulation Materials

R-value is a measure of the insulation’s resistance to heat flow based on the material's thickness and thermal conductivity. The higher the R-value of the insulation, the greater energy efficiency of the insulation possesses.

Different insulation products have different R-values. Some materials insulate better than others and some need to be thicker than others to get the R-value you need.

The graph will show the different R-value or thermal resistance of the common insulation materials in the country.

The closed-cell polyurethane spray foam has the highest R-value making it the most effective agent for insulation.

The Ecofoam Polyurethane Insulation stops and cuts air and moisture intrusion and energy bills. It also strengthens and protects the structure, internal air from mold, airborne pollutants and allergens resulting to a stronger building, cleaner air and greener environment.
